Another new RKM

The fourth type of RKM machine (RKM-4) was co-invented by Ivan Pyatov and Dr. Schapiro.

The RKM-4 engine is projected of achieving rotational speeds in excess of 30 000 RPM. While related to the Wankel motor, the RKM-4 will allow to realize the Diesel process in a one-stage machine. Demonstration models of the RKM-4 machine have already been executed in plastic and steel.

Mr. Pyatov is an industrialist and one of Russia's foremost authorities on rotary machines.

Thus, the RKM family of machines has been expanded even further and now includes low-speed RKMs 1 and 2 high-speed RKMs 3 and 4. Patent applications for the latter are pending.

New type of RKM

RKM GbR began preparing patent documentation for the third type of the RKM engine (RKM-3).

The new rotary machine will have extremely high power density and be capable of running at speeds of up to 20000 RPM. It also has many features of the previously patented RKMs with one and two power transfer shafts, e.g., few components, which bring high reliability and low production and maintenance costs.

The third type of the RKMs expands the RKM family of machines and augments the list of their possible applications with devices capable of competing with superchargers, thereby opening up a variety additional usages.

Steam Driven Vehicle

RKM GbR made important progress in developing a technical concept for Steam Driven Vehicle (SDV) with the RKM engine. The project is being developed by RKM GbR in cooperation with Russia's leading scientists and R&D institutions.

Preliminary estimates indicate that the SDV would have at least twice the run of a vehicle (of the same useful volume) powered by an electric battery of equal weight. As an added benefit, production costs for the SDV are expected to be significantly lower that those for battery-powered cars.

Designing and building a production prototype of a 4-wheel-drive SDV is a stand-alone project of RKM GbR, which is expected to take four years to complete. Essentially, this will lead to the development of an automobile running on plain water.
